What are the applications of vacuum pump in coating industry?

Vacuum pumps are widely used in coating industry and coating equipment. Vacuum coating technology is an important branch of vacuum application technology, it has been widely used in optics, electronics, energy development, physical and chemical instruments, construction machinery, packaging, civilian products, surface science and scientific research and other fields.

The main methods used in vacuum coating are evaporation plating, sputtering plating, ion plating, beam deposition plating and molecular beam epitaxy. There is also chemical vapor deposition. If the purpose of the vacuum coating is to change the physical and chemical properties of the material surface, this technology is an important part of the vacuum surface treatment technology.

First of all, in terms of optics, an optical glass or quartz surface coated with a layer or several layers of different substances after the film, can become highly reflective or non-reflective (that is, anti-reflection film) or for any expected proportion of reflection or transmission material, can also be made to absorb a wavelength, and the transmission of another wavelength of the filter. Highly reflective films are needed from large aperture astronomical telescopes and various lasers to large window coatings for new buildings. Antireflection film is widely used in photography and all kinds of lasers, all the way up to the large window coating glass of new buildings, are very needed. Antireflection films are widely used in camera and television camera lenses. Vacuum coating plays a very important role in electronics. Inherited circuits of various sizes, including memory, computing devices, telling logic elements, etc., must use conductive film, insulating film and protective film, as the mask of the preparation of the circuit is used chromium film, such as tape, disk, semiconductor laser, Josefson devices, charge-coupled devices (CCD) are also all kinds of thin films.

In terms of display devices, the transparent conductive film of video head, high-density video tape and flat display device, the photoconductive film of the camera tube, and the aluminum lining of the fluorescent screen of the display tube are also prepared by vacuum coating method. In terms of components, the evaporation of nickel chromium in vacuum, chromium or cermet can make resistors, the evaporation of aluminum, silicon monoxide, titanium dioxide, etc. on plastic can make capacitors, the evaporation of selenium can get the toner cartridge for electrostatic copiers, the evaporation of barium titanate can make magnetostrictive sound components, and so on. Vacuum evaporation can also be used to produce superconducting films and microbead coatings for inertially confined seismic reactions. In addition, it can also steam decorative films for jewelry, watch shell surface, textile metal pattern, gold wire and silver wire, as well as the use of sputtering or ion plating on tools, molds and other manufacturing superhard film. In the past two years, the rise of multi-arc ion plating to prepare titanium products, such as stainless steel sheet, mirror plate, column, handrail, high-grade bed brackets, stair railings and so on are currently prevailing.
